The goal of this new partnership is to help growers and retailers increase sales and improve profit margins by selling larger quantities of their best perennials. First, point-of-purchase materials, including posters and banners designed to explain the program. Second, customized handouts with the planting plan, variety information and care tips. Today, Cody is part of the senior leadership team and is the Yard and Landscape Supervisor, managing upwards of 25 people.
The EZ Scapes are chosen by collection, so gardeners will have a group of perennials with similar landscape performance and requirements. In addition to offering Proven Winners Perennials, Walters Gardens, Inc. will continue to provide their customers with a broad range of over 1,000 varieties of perennials, ornamental grasses, vines and groundcovers. All plants offered by Tuincentrum Wolters will continue to be sold as bare root and plug liners through their existing sales networks. Essentially we are a wholesale grower that welcomes the general public. Johnson’s Nursery provides Retail sales and Landscape design/build services from our Menomonee Falls headquarters. Our wholesale clientele of municipalities, landscape contractors, garden centers, and other nurseries can arrange to pick up material either in Menomonee Falls or our Jackson, WI Farm holding yards.

On Jan. 26, Darren Barshaw from Darwin and Kata Kress Wallace from Walters will share the best performing and most exciting perennials for this coming spring, summer, and fall in a free webinar. Walters Gardens will bring approximately 30 of its varieties to the existing line of Proven Winners Perennials in 2011 and the program will expand as more new varieties are added each year.
